*Spring Break Week*

Woo-hoo! We are having our Spring Break this week!! And we're half-way through already....... How does that happen?

I've been tagged by Sharon of Mustard Seed Originals to tell how my business name came about. There really wasn't a rhyme or reason for the name, "Pear Tree Primitives"...wish I could say that we had a beautiful pear tree growing off the North side of our 1880's farm house. And every time we sat out on our wrap-around porch and drank our lemonade we admired that pear tree.
Of course ALL of that would be a Big Fib! But, a nice Dream!

My husband came up with it one day, thought it had a nice ring to it, and I agreed! He also came up with my faux biz name, "Fancy Paints", when I was working in homes and painting walls.

As for my "sub" name, "Painter of the Past"... that doesn't have a story behind it either. I was just trying to come up with a blog name and thought of that one on my own!

Ok, now I'm suppose to tag a few more people to tell how they came up with their business names:

Sarah~ The Paisley Studio

Cathy~ Hazelruthe's

Kathy~ Kattz*Cottage

Off to finish some paintings.....one for The Eclectic Artisan's Webshow on April 7th!! (see my sidebar for a link.)

Hi Suzanne!
That's a really interesting subject! I've wondered that exact thing about so many blogs I have read - how do we all come up with our names! Thanks so much for tagging me & I will be happy to post about where kattz*cottage came from!
I've always loved yours!~ Pear Tree Primitives has such a nice sound!

Suzanne, Fancy Paints is such a cute name! I think it's interesting learning how the names of blogs or businesses, etc are found.

I think it suits you perfectly. Your paintings are delightfully connected to the past and didn't our early settlers bring seeds, roots and saplings from their homeland. So when they arrived in the New World they could plant the seeds and they would grow.Well I think that describes your painting. A seed is planted and it grows into something beautiful to share its bounty with others.
Enjoy your spring break!

I love Pear Tree Prims--it evokes a feeling of the past, and really describes your work.

Hey, Miss Suzanne -- hope you are having a great spring break. I will do the name thing after our show on Saturday -- I am a little overwhelmed right now!

Hi Suzanne, and here I thought you had a pear tree in your yard and that's where your name came from! Fancy Paints is so cute!

We're not on spring break until April 7th. I can't wait to be able to sleep a little later!

I have always thought it was a beautifully simple and delicate name - and perfectly fit for you!

I've been so busy lately and missed popping in!

Have a great Sunday, sweets :)
