I found a book at the thriftstore thats a compilation of books by Grace Livingston Hill. I've seen her mentioned soooo many times on blogs so I finally got around to reading something of hers and I just love her writing. My favorite so far is "The Enchanted Barn".

Those tags are so cute! How do you make them?

ManuelaThe Pleasures of Homemakinghttp://thepleasuresofhomemaking.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5884367281489444403.post-77838358021660032222009-06-16T04:40:35.578-07:002009-06-16T04:40:35.578-07:00Hi Suzanne. I enjoyed seeing your gardens this morning. We have had so much rain here in Delaware, that I have not been able to enjoy the Spring or the Summer days. Hopefully it will not keep up all Summer long.
CaroleCarolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12702648129128386932noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5884367281489444403.post-89860664896088506072009-06-15T21:44:35.544-07:002009-06-15T21:44:35.544-07:00Suzanne, I LOVE your garden!!!! Since you grow veggies and herbs, I have a question for you.

This year is the first time my husband and I are growing herbs in pots on our back porch. All seems to be going well so far. One of the herbs we're growing is Basil. Our question is: when you take some of the basil for cooking, are you only supposed to take the leaves or do you just cut the stem off as well?? Hope that is not a stupid question but we're new to the herb scene. :)

Enjoy all your garden veggies.

RuthRuth Welterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08822466687503082708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5884367281489444403.post-20438821774254984332009-06-13T09:07:28.619-07:002009-06-13T09:07:28.619-07:00Your gardens are looking great!
